Why Don't Young People Vote?

       The article  Why Don't Young People Vote   was written by Hanan Esaili, a millennial belonging to Generation Y. She discusses the "lazy" stereotype millennials have gained and does not necessarily refute it as she begins to talk about the absence of her generation from the polls. Her main point in this article is to say that millennials truly do care about the issues the country faces today, however, "66 percent agree that when the government runs something, it is 'usually inefficient and wasteful.'" Although I do not identify with that 66%, I    found that I did share similarities with participants in a poll for the Libertarian magazine,  Reason. A political typology quiz proved what I already knew, which is that I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative, like the majority of the poll takers. I also share the view that abortion should be legal as well as same-sex marriage, and that the drinking age should be lowered....
